City of Upper Arlington hosts Food Waste Collection Program Survey

Food Waste Collection Program Survey | City of Upper Arlington

Food Waste Collection Program Survey | City of Upper Arlington

Survey Deadline: Friday, April 21, 2023

As part of the City’s commitment to sustainability initiatives and in response to resident interest, a food waste composting program was launched several years ago, beginning with a drop-off program. Over time, the program has expanded, and the City currently provides two food waste composting program options to residents:

  • A grant-funded, pilot curbside collection program that is being used by approximately 625 households
  • Three drop-off locations – at Sunny 95 Park, Fancyburg Park and the Municipal Services Center, 3600 Tremont Road.

The grant-funded, pilot curbside collection program is scheduled to expire in the fall of 2023. As a result, the City’s Public Service Department is considering options for continuing this relatively new but increasingly popular service.

Residents are invited and encouraged to complete a brief survey by Friday, April 21 to help us measure community interest in establishing an ongoing food waste collection program. The survey should just take a few minutes to complete.

Please also share a link to this survey with your friends or neighbors and encourage them to participate.
